JACK M. SELVER It is with sadness the family of Jack M. Selver, age 89, announce his passing. Jack succumbed to the inherent complications brought on by Father Time. He was predeceased by his wife Ethel (1987). He is survived by his children Sidney (Jeannette), Morley (Rosemary), Tanis, and Jill (Shawn); nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by companion Margaret and friend since childhood Harold. Jack was born, raised, and educated in Winnipeg (BSW 1949 and MSW 1961 University of Manitoba. His career in the social services field began with Children's Aid Society and culminated, with his retirement in 1984, with Family Court Services. Jack's many interests included the harmonica band, lapidary, trains, and planes. He was an active and participating member of the clubs and associations that supported these interests. Jack was also a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge (60 years) and the Legion (50 years). The family would like to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital and Maples Personal Care Home. Special thanks to the home care staff at Amber Meadows Retirement Home for their exceptional care extended to our father. Jack was laid to rest on June 24 at the Shaarey Zedek Memorial Park.
